HARVEST DINNER QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

WHAT IS THE MENU FOR EACH DINNER?

Each dinner willfeature a four-course meal, with wines paired for each course.  Most of the produce will come from the farmwith some fruit, meat, cheeses and breads coming from other nearby Finger Lakesgrowers and purveyors. The chefs are still planning the menus, and as theybecome available, we will post them on the Edible Finger Lakes website.Whatever the menu, it’s sure to be fresh and delicious!

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

Casual dress is fine,and comfortable shoes are recommended for walking through the fields to get tothe dinner tables.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

Parking will beavailable at each dinner.  Volunteerswill help guide you. We highly encourage carpooling so that we have littleimpact on traffic and the neighbors.

HOW WILL I KNOW MY RESERVATION IS CONFIRMED?

Once you make yourpurchase, Edible Finger Lakes will mail you a reservation card with the name ofyour party and the number of seats purchased. The reservation card will alsohave logistical information for the dinner you are attending.

WHAT IF I WANT TO PAY BY CHECK?

To purchase by check,please send an e-mail to Edible Finger Lakes at info@ediblefingerlakes.com or call607-272-2510 and we will help you make your reservations.

CAN I PURCHASE SEATS FOR MORE THAN ONE DINNER?

Yes, you can attendall four dinners. However, because we expect each of these dinners to sell outquickly, we are limiting parties to four people.

WHAT IS THE MONEY FOR THE DINNER GOING TO SUPPORT?

All proceeds will bedonated to the Healthy Food for All Program to help reduce the cost of fresh,locally grown produce for over 60 low-income families in our community. IS MY PAYMENT TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, please indicatewhen you check in at the dinner that you would like to make your purchase acharitable tax deduction and Cornell Cooperative Extension will have receiptswith the 501C3 number for you.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN?

Absolutely. However,children 12 and over must be included in the seat purchase. Children under 12can eat free of charge.

CAN I BRING PETS?

Sorry, pets are notallowed on the farm.

WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

Please include anydietary requirements when you make your purchase. We do not guarantee that allspecial requests can be accommodated but the chefs will do their best to takecare of you.

WHAT IF IT IS RAINING/SNOWING?

Each dinner will takeplace regardless of the weather. We will have contingency plans and coveredspaces in case it rains or snows.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?

Please contact EdibleFinger Lakes as early as you can if you need to cancel your reservation.  Cancellations received less than one weekbefore the dinner you reserved for cannot be refunded. Reservations aretransferable and can be sold or given to someone else if you cannot attend.

WHAT IF THE DINNER I WANT TO ATTEND IS SOLD OUT?

We are keeping awaiting list for each dinner and if we receive cancellations, we will contactthe people on the waiting list, in order of their request for a reservation, tooffer the available seats.
