In our fall issue we celebrated the local craft beer community. We reported that Finger Lakes brew can be a solid culinary companion at any table, and that visiting local breweries offers a great day’s getaway. Whether visiting Ithaca Beer’s expansive new facility, catching up with Theresa Hollister and Adam Smith (founders of the official Finger Lakes Beer Trail) or meeting Finger Lakes craft brewers, we explored, sipped and imbibed ourselves into moments of pairing merriness and stay-cation bliss.
If all this beer love sounds intriguing, you have a chance of your very own to sample some tasty brews paired with the best of our seasonal, local pub cuisine. Join Ithaca Beer for their four-course pairing meal starting at 5pm tomorrow, November 21. The meal is influenced by local and seasonal ingredients and costs only $35.00. Reservations are not required.
Lastly, if you can’t make it to Ithaca Beer on Thursday, put together a day trip for your out-of-town visitors over the Thanksgiving holiday. Let the Finger Lakes Beer Trail Map assist with charting your beer explorations – and remember- a block of local cheese and fresh-baked bread make impromptu light snacks for the road.
