Is your supply of Finger Lakes kale getting low? Are you suffering from cabin fever because you haven’t had any farmer’s market excursions lately? Are you wondering, where’s the local beef? We are too!
Good news for all, because tomorrow the Ithaca Farmer’s Market opens their Winter Market at The Space, right across the street from Greenstar Natural Foods Market, at 700 W. Buffalo Street in Ithaca. The Winter Market will be open from 11am-2pm.
Now in their second year at a newly-renovated facility, over three dozen local vendors will offer a plethora of fresh produce, from spinach and kale,
to watermelon radishes and winter squash. In addition, there will be local pastured meat, fresh baked goods, fresh fruit and cider, hot prepared foods, and artisanal crafts. Remember, everything sold at Winter Market must be grown or produced within 30 miles of the market’s Steamboat Landing pavilion, so get a taste of what’s happening in the region. Stay warm, buy and eat local, and visit with your friends and neighbors. Hope to see you there!
