Winter Wine Blending Class and Wine Dinner

Winter Wine Blending Class and Wine Dinner

January 17, 2015

Experience! The Finger Lakes has teamed up with Damiani Wine Cellars and the brand new Farm-to-Bistro Ithaca restaurant, Coltivare, to provide the perfect reason to come to Ithaca in January!

Join winemaker and owner of Damiani Wine Cellars, Lou Damiani for an exciting afternoon exploring the art of wine blending. Lou will share the technique for creating a classic Meritage blend, and then guests will have the opportunity to create and bottle their own personal Meritage blend to take home with them. To top off the experience Christian Theron, chocolate-maker extraordinaire, will have a selection of chocolates to enjoy with the wine.

Afterwards, the tour will head to the newly-opened Coltivare restaurant in Ithaca, where guests will experience a private 3-course wine dinner.  Coltivare restaurant is part of a state-of-the-art culinary center operated by Tompkins-Cortland Community College featuring locally sourced ingredients combined with global flavors to create the ultimate Farm-to-Bistro experience.

$145 per person. This price includes transportation, blending class, custom bottle of wine to take home, chocolate sampling for pairing your wine, and 3-course farm to bistro wine dinner.  Gratuity for tour guide is not included.
