Anthony Bourdain Visits Borough Furnace for New Web Series

Syracuse’s Borough Furnace featured on Anthony Bourdain’s new web series

Celebrity chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain has partnered with The Balvenie Scotch whiskey to host a web series called “Raw Craft,” focused on artisanship and handcrafted products. The first episode premiered this month and highlights Borough Furnace in Syracuse. In the episode, Bourdain visits and chats with owners John Truex and Liz Seru in their workshop Borough Skilletand learns about each step that goes into crafting their skillets. We featured Borough Furnace’s gorgeous, handmade cast iron skillets in our November/December 2014 issue’s holiday gift guide. They really are something special, as Bourdain discovers in the 6-minute long episode. He’s even inspired to cook up a Steak au Poivre right there in the shop! Watch the whole episode here:
