Creative ways to cook and use asparagus:
- Lightly steam, cool and use in homemade sushi rolls
- Toss with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast at 400º until browned
- Peel into thin strips and add to your favorite herb salad
- Blanch in boiling water, cool and add to your classic crudité platter
- Chop into 1-inch pieces, sauté and include in an omelette or risotto
- Make a hot brine of vinegar, salt and spices and pickle asparagus spears in a jar
- Replace celery with an asparagus spear in your favorite Bloody Mary recipe
