Blackberry Mint Crush

Serves 1 but can easily be doubled
4 blackberries, plus extra for garnish
4 mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon simple syrup
1 1⁄2 ounces vodka, such as Finger Lakes Distilling Vintner’s Vodka
2 ounces seltzer
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries, mint leaves, lime juice and simple syrup. Add the vodka and enough ice cubes to fill the shaker. Shake well.
Pour into an ice-filled glass and top with seltzer. Garnish with a few additional blackberries and a mint sprig.
