Is there a local farm in your community who you depend on for produce each week? Or a butcher that knows your order every time you come in? How about a non-profit organization that’s getting food to people in need? Here’s your chance to get your favorite local heroes recognized!
Every year we ask our readers to let us know what businesses in the FLX are their favorites; by selecting a Local Hero in six different categories. The Local Hero Awards are given to those who offer high-quality, local products and maintain high standards in social and environmental practices, food sourcing, regional economic impact and a commitment to promoting a sustainable food system.
