Made to taste like the famous Chai Whoopie Pie from Café 19 in Seneca Falls, the Edible Finger Lakes Brew of the Week is Chai Whoopie Pie.

Expect flavors of cinnamon, caramel, chai and fresh baked bread in this full bodied ale with a creamy mouthfeel from this beer that is a collaboration between War Horse Brewing Co. in Geneva, NY and Café 19.

It is no coincidence War Horse released this beer two weeks prior to the 2020 election as a friendly reminder to exercise your right to vote, according to a press release.

“Cafe 19 pays tribute to Seneca Falls’ rich history of women’s rights. Chai Whoopie Pie celebrates the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote. We’re proud to pay homage to those who dedicated their lives to making women’s voices heard,” said Casey Gallowa of Café 19.

The label is full of history and vibrant colors. Packaged in 16-ounce cans and sold as four packs on the War Horse/Three Brothers Wineries estate only, while supplies last.

The Three Brothers Wineries and Estates campus houses three wineries, a microbrewery and café all within walking distance of each other, offering a distinctively different ambiance on the 47-acre farm and property. Established in 2007, Stony Lonesome Wine Cellars, Passion Feet Vineyards and Wine Barn, Bagg Dare Wine Company and War Horse Brewing Co. are open daily for [socially distanced] tastings.
