Well, a lot sure happened this weekend, giving all Americans something to think about and remark upon. Which is why this photo of Maryrose Livingston of Northland Sheep Dairy in Marathon, taken by photographer Heather Ainsworth, is our FLX Foodie Photo of the Week.
We love how contemplative Maryrose is in this photo and the way the sun falls gently on her face while she gazes out towards the light, as her sheep munch the grass around her. It’s a good reminder for all of us to step back, take a breath and to be grateful for this beautiful and peaceful part of the region we call home.
The weather is phenomenal, beautiful autumn colors are still everywhere, we’re tiptoeing into the holiday season. We have so much to be thankful for in this great country of ours, including the delicious cheeses Maryrose and her sheep turn out!
