We’re thrilled to announce that Richy Petrina has joined Edible Finger Lakes to contribute to our Wine of the Week column at ediblefingerlakes.com. Look for his articles on Wednesday afternoons.
As a native of Ithaca, Richy has long been a proud ambassador to our wine region. He is a graduate of The Hotel School at Cornell University and has remained actively involved with its global alumni and local community by mentoring students and frequently guest-lecturing on campus.
Richy founded Ithaca Wine Ventures in June of 2019 to elevate and amplify the region and its exceptional producers. The startup’s latest project, WINEcsa.org, is a wine club from the Finger Lakes featuring a different winery each month, with local drop-offs and nationwide shipping.
He serves on The James Beard Foundation’s Awards Committee, its inaugural JBF Beverage Advisory Committee, and consults on various industry projects for companies large and small.
Richy is happily based out of sunny Ithaca, NY with his family.
