National Drink Wine Day is celebrated every year on February 18! We are fortunate here in the Finger Lakes to have plenty of options for enjoying this day. If you are looking to learn how to get the most out of sipping your favorite wine or trying a new one, check out an episode of the new podcast Great Times Behind the Wines!

This podcast explores many topics, from dessert wines to harvest. It aims to inform listeners about the people, methods, and stories that have made Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards Winery in Hector a leader in the collaboration and community friendliness of the Finger Lakes wine region.

One of the podcast’s four episodes that are currently up is all about ways to get more out of the winemaking experience with Hazlitt’s vinifera winemaker, Michael Reidy. Michael, who studied at Cornell University’s Enology and Viticulture program, covers the “five S’s” of wine tasting which are: “See, Swirl, Smell, Sip, and Swallow/Savor.”

You can subscribe to Great Times Behind the Wines on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and just about wherever you get your podcasts!
