As the temps get warmer we are seeing more and more of our region come to life with outdoor concerts, more farmers markets, and even food festivals. Wineries and breweries are also adding on some fun events of their own, all of which include beer and wine. So lace up those hiking boots and go hungry. Here are some of the best foodie happenings in the Finger Lakes this weekend!

Saturday, May 1: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hike and Happy Hour with Steuben Brewing Company: Join Steuben Brewing Company on a dog-friendly hike along the newly adopted section of the FLT: June Bug – Triad Trail Loop in Hammondsport. This event is FREE but please register in advance so they know how many to expect! All are welcome back at the Brewery after the hike to enjoy some food and beverages, including some Trail Towns Hazy Pale Ale. Current health and safety guidelines must be followed at the Brewery.

Saturday, May 1: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Grab N’ Go Crawfish Festival & Food Truck Rodeo: Operation Northern Comfort is hosting a grab-and-go crawfish festival and food truck rodeo at The Syracuse Inner Harbor (310 W Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204). The event is “grab and go”, but guests are welcome to bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the waterfront property while social distancing.

Saturday, May 1: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. CNY Regional Farmers Market The Saturday Farmers Market is a lively experience and a staple in our community. With 300+ vendors providing local and fresh goods from surrounding counties, our valued customers stock their totes with everything from farm-fresh produce, hearty meats and fish, locally sourced breads and dairy products, tasty spreads and dressings, delicious doughnuts and treats, limited-edition brews and uniquely blended beverages, and more.

Sunday, May 2: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch Bite Flight at Boundary Breaks: Join Boundary Breaks Brunch Bite Flight, a flight of delicious brunch bites paired with five Boundary Breaks wines; 2019 Bubbly Dry Riesling #356, 2018 Dry Riesling #239, 2019 Cabernet Franc, 2018 Ovid Line North Medium Dry Riesling, and 2020 Rosé. The menu includes elevated brunch staples such as Winter Squash Tart, Maple Riesling Gravlax, Maple and Mixed Berry Coffee Cake, Deviled Duck Egg, and Frosted Jersey Yogurt Parfait.

Sunday, May 2: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chamberlain Acres Farmers Market: On Sundays year-round Chamberlain Acres hosts a Farmers Market. It’s outside during the summer and in a warm greenhouse during the colder months. Veggies, meats, cheeses, baked goods, coffee, jams and jellies, maple syrup, honey, wine and so much more.

Sunday, May 2: All day. Rochester Museum and Science Center: Celebrate biodiversity at BioBlitz! During this family-friendly event, you will work with scientists, educators, and naturalists to document the biodiversity at Cumming Nature Center. Spend the day identifying, collecting, and recording as many species of plants and animals as possible throughout our 900-acre preserve.
