Wine of the Week: Lakewood Vineyards 2019 Chardonnay

A great value wine and one of the finer Chardonnays that Lakewood has produced of recent years.

A great value wine and one of the finer Chardonnays that Lakewood has produced of recent years. The nose is buttery and toasty with hints of petrol. Flavors of apple danish pastry and pineapple with a touch of oak. Fermented and aged in American and French oak, with 29% going to malolactic so there’s a nice balance of baking spices, creaminess and tartness in each sip. Pair with salty roasted chicken, mushroom risotto, or a fennel potato gratin.
