Our coverage includes the 14 counties of the Finger Lakes (Monroe, Chemung, Ontario, Tompkins, Schuyler, Wayne, Tioga, Onondaga, Seneca, Yates, Livingston, Cayuga, Cortland and Steuben). With a geographic region of 9,000 square miles, including 2 million acres of dedicated farmland, over 100 vineyards, and a restaurant per capita to rival New York City, the Finger Lakes area is one of the most exciting and fastest growing culinary hot spots in the country.
From the roadside organic cider press to the family-run goat farm; from the fair trade regional coffee roasters to the finest u-pick blueberry spots, there is an abundance of engaging and worthy stories to tell, and we hope to tell them all. Edible Finger Lakes is the ultimate resource for what is happening in the local food scene, season by season.
Our mission is to promote local foods and festivities and to persuade people living in the region, and those who visit, that fresh food from the area is the most delicious, exciting and healthy choice when it comes to the plate or the pantry. We want consumer dollars to stay close to home by supporting the local farmer, culinary entrepreneur and chef whether at the market, the farm stand or featured on the café menu. Our stories are people based and our pages are filled with beautiful color photography, enticing artwork and mouth-watering recipes.
